Planting Good Seeds.org ran out of love
So, for now, we're putting it back in the soil.
Planting Good Seeds began with Nikki and a small group of people in Taganga, Colombia, who shared a dream: to create a Casa de Recursos — a place where discarded and recycled materials could be collected, transformed, and given another life.
Over the past few decades, Taganga has changed enormously. Tourism has brought opportunity, but also pressure on a small town and the land and sea surrounding it.
We wanted to plant something here.
We still do.
Today just isn't the day we're able to give this project the love, time, and resources it deserves. So rather than pretend otherwise, Planting Good Seeds is on hold while we rethink how it can grow sustainably.
Maybe one day, with the right people and enough love, we'll come back and plant some good seeds in this little town.
Until then, the dream is still here.
— Nikki

Document transformation. Shape how the movement is seen, felt, remembered, and shared.
Welcome, Storyteller!
This fellowship is designed for photographers, filmmakers, writers, interviewers, documentarians, social media creatives, curious observers, and emotionally intelligent storytellers interested in capturing meaningful human experiences through media and creative communication.
Planting Good Seeds is building a global movement rooted in creativity, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and community connection. Storytelling Fellows help shape how that movement is seen, felt, remembered, and shared with the world.
This is not traditional journalism or content creation. It is collaborative storytelling focused on documenting transformation, relationships, creativity, entrepreneurship, and emerging community experiences with depth, curiosity, and emotional intelligence.
"The most important stories are the ones no one else is telling."

This fellowship is an investment in our relationship and your access to a growing international creative network.
The Journey
Community-Backed Support Campaign
During onboarding, fellows begin building stronger entrepreneurial and communication skills through networking, collaborative preparation, storytelling exercises, and relationship-building. Participants are encouraged to raise support for their learning journey while developing stronger confidence in presenting themselves, their creative interests, and their long-term goals.
Remote or On the Ground
Once the on-the-ground team arrives in the Caribbean, Storytelling Fellows participate remotely or in person through collaborative documentation, interviews, media creation, editing, and creative interpretation of the movement as it evolves. Fellows attend the daily 5:00 PM Sharing Circle meetings.
Remote
The fellowship doesn't end after four weeks. Fellows become part of the growing Planting Good Seeds alumni network, gaining access to future collaborations, mentorship, fundraising opportunities, creative projects, and entrepreneurial ventures as they emerge.
