A note from Nikki

I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you

Planting Good Seeds.org ran out of love

So, for now, we're putting it back in the soil.

Planting Good Seeds began with Nikki and a small group of people in Taganga, Colombia, who shared a dream: to create a Casa de Recursos — a place where discarded and recycled materials could be collected, transformed, and given another life.

Over the past few decades, Taganga has changed enormously. Tourism has brought opportunity, but also pressure on a small town and the land and sea surrounding it.

We wanted to plant something here.

We still do.

Today just isn't the day we're able to give this project the love, time, and resources it deserves. So rather than pretend otherwise, Planting Good Seeds is on hold while we rethink how it can grow sustainably.

Maybe one day, with the right people and enough love, we'll come back and plant some good seeds in this little town.

Until then, the dream is still here.

Live big, travel the world, and prove there is still buried treasure where others wouldn't dare to look.

Welcome, Storyteller.

This is a 4-week experience for creative professionals who want to live big, travel the world, and prove there is still buried treasure where others wouldn't dare to look.

Most people think it's impossible to build a recycling and sustainable art studio in the Caribbean — one that puts the local community at the center of it. We're proving that it is.

We're a startup building our founding team. This is your opportunity to be part of a team attempting something most people think can't be done.

All of us here are self-funded independents coming together to strengthen our entrepreneurial skills, expand our support networks, and create opportunities for one another.

The return isn't just financial. It's the relationships you build. The skills you develop. The doors you open. And the people who remember your name years from now.

This is an opportunity to increase your net worth in community.

"This small town is what it is because I helped make that happen."

You Will Walk Away With

  • Hands-on experience with Kickstarter and fundraising campaign strategy
  • Research skills in grant, sponsorship, and partnership development
  • A real portfolio of outreach materials, proposals, and campaign assets
  • Access to a high-energy founding team of videographers, storytellers, and operators
  • Relationships with people who have traveled the world, built audiences, and launched businesses
  • The credibility of saying you helped build something in a place the world overlooked

Many fellows have successfully raised enough support to cover flights, housing, food, local transportation, and a spending allowance.

The Journey

1

Phase One — Remote Onboarding (Weeks 1–2)

Build Your Foundation & Raise Your Support

From Day 1, you'll begin learning the essential skill of raising capital and building an audience around your personal brand. We'll support you with networking, outreach, storytelling, and fundraising so you can raise the resources needed to join us in the Caribbean. This phase prepares you for deep integration into the founding team.

2

Phase Two — On the Ground (4 Weeks)

Caribbean Coast, Colombia

You'll work alongside the founding team with one clear mission: help raise $49,000–$100,000 to build the first recycling and sustainable art studio in the Caribbean through a Kickstarter campaign. You'll research opportunities, develop strategies, draft outreach materials, build donor systems, and present your recommendations like a consultant. This is not an internship — it's a founding-team experience.

3

Phase Three — Alumni Network & Lifelong Community

Remote

The fellowship doesn't end after four weeks. Fellows become part of the growing Planting Good Seeds alumni network, with access to future fundraising projects, partnerships, and entrepreneurial ventures. If you want to stay, you don't apply for a job — you write yourself into the plan. The people you meet here may become future business partners, collaborators, clients, and lifelong friends.

What We're Building

We have 4 weeks. Our goal: raise $49,000–$100,000 to build the first recycling and sustainable art studio in the Caribbean. We're launching a Kickstarter that proves there is real value — and real money — in places the world often overlooks. Not by extracting from them. By recognizing it. Building it. Revealing it.

Who You'll Be Around

  • Videographers capturing the movement in real time
  • Storytellers shaping the narrative
  • Marketers driving awareness and audience growth
  • Kickstarter and campaign specialists
  • Sales-minded operators who move fast
  • People who think big and execute bigger

Who This Is For

We are especially interested in people who are:

  • A leader who expects a return on the time they invest
  • Interested in entrepreneurship, consulting, fundraising, or business development
  • Excited to travel, build something real, and be part of something that actually moves
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by opportunity
  • Strong communicators who can draft compelling outreach and defend their ideas
  • Self-starters who thrive in high-energy, fast-moving environments
